Hudson Valley Man Shot In Foot, Police Search For Suspects

Police are investigating and searching for suspects in connection with a shooting that left a Hudson Valley man wounded.

The incident occurred in Sullivan County at 10:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, at Broadway and Jefferson Street in the village of Monticello.

Lt. Mark Johnstone of the Monticello Police said responding officers found a 22-year-old Monticello man on Liberty Street who had been shot in the left foot.

Empress EMS transported the victim to Garnet Health Medical Center in Orange County in Middletown for medical treatment.

Additionally, the New York State Police, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, and the Monticello Fire Department assisted the Monticello Police at the scene.
